Hausberg mountain restaurant
The Hausberg-Baude - excursion restaurant with history and a view
The Hausberg mountain restaurant now stands on the site of the former Lutterberg Castle, which was built in 1183 and destroyed in 1415. Only a few remnants of the former castle, such as the ramparts, still bear witness to its eventful past.
A popular excursion restaurant was established here over 100 years ago. Since 1954, the mountain restaurant has been easily accessible by cable car, which runs from the center of Bad Lauterberg to the local mountain. It covers 110 meters in altitude over a distance of 440 meters.
A highlight is the spacious sun terrace with a sweeping view over Bad Lauterberg and the southern Harz Mountains – an ideal place to linger.
