Oder Dam

The Oder dam is located on the B27 between Bad Lauterberg and Braunlage and plays an important role in flood protection, raising low water levels and generating electricity. Completed in 1933, the hydropower plant was extensively modernized in 2015 and now supplies around 1,500 households with green electricity.

However, motorboats are not permitted out of consideration for nature.

If you want to swim here, it costs 2 euros. You can park there and use the toilets.
